WHAT WE ARE

BIOM is a company focused on developing new, high-value biotechnological solutions that make industrial and agricultural systems more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly.

The company was founded in November 2019 as a spin-off of Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain).

It is primarily focused on the agricultural sector, developing products based on living microorganisms and bioactive molecules produced by microorganisms.

Its goal is to harness biotechnology to replace chemical inputs and strengthen industrial and agricultural productivity.

Biotechnology applied to the agri-food sector

We bring the latest advances in biotechnology to the agri-food sector to optimize production processes, improve crop yields, and respond to the new challenges of modern agriculture.

Plant disease control

We create innovative solutions for controlling plant diseases that threaten the sector’s productivity and viability, especially those for which there are currently no effective treatments.

Our own R&D&I

All our technologies are the result of our own research and development, based on solid scientific knowledge and a continuous commitment to applied innovation.

Sustainability

We design environmentally friendly solutions aimed at reducing the use of chemical inputs and promoting more responsible agriculture that is aligned with ecosystems.

We cover the entire innovation process, from basic research and technological development to industrial scaling and bringing our solutions to market.
